Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
On Thursday morning, a large procession was taken out by the Belur Shri Hanuman Bhakta Mandal Seva Sansthan in celebration of Hanuman Jayanti.
The procession began at 7am and headed towards Barabazar in Kolkata via Belur GT Road and Salkia. The Howrah City Police were present in large numbers to ensure the safety and security of the participants.
The procession was led by Pritam Jain and BL Aggarwal, among others, and is set to conclude at the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple at Rajakatra in Kolkata via the iconic Howrah Bridge.
The occasion of Hanuman Jayanti is an important one for devotees of Lord Hanuman, who is revered as a symbol of strength, courage, and devotion.
